If levels of calcium, magnesium, and sodium, as well as chlorides, sulfates, and bicarbonates, as a group or alone, are too high, plant growth can be hurt. High levels can even cause plant desication or poor growth. We often blame this on poor soil structure.

Plant and tree growth reductions, as a result of dissolved substances in the soil, are similar to drought-stressed effects. An osmotic gradient on salty soils is formed. Water uptake by plant roots is increasingly restricted as the concentration of soil salts increases. Because of this, as soil salts build up in the soil, more frequent irrigation is necessary to help flush out salts and reduce water stress, often resulting in puddling and wasteful runoff.

Acidic soils make successful gardening difficult. The pH balanced water emitted from the FLUIDMACHINE alters the topsoil, making it more conducive to growing healthier plants.

The FLUIDMACHINE increases percolation in the soil, carrying the buildup of harmful salts into deeper areas. It reduces water usage for landscape watering, eliminates puddling and runoff, and because of its reduced surface tension prevents hardening of the surface soil. Sodium and other harmful salts percolate into deeper levels, resulting in deeper root penetration and hydration availability at those levels. This reduces the need for artificial fertilizers, pesticides and other chemicals and uses less water.
